Steering gear boot replacement

The boot where the steering cables enters the splash well is somewhat deteriorated on my boat. Any ideas on a durable replacement that doesn't require a major overhaul to install?

i have been needing one of those for years and did not get one due to the thought of removing all the cables to replace it

Actually, I ordered a new one and just cut a slit into it as is shown on this Attwood picture and employed the same still functional gasket ring. Of course, this is another option and a great price.
