Steering Wheel Center Cap

I think the wood hub should be standard on C-Dorys.... it just fits so well... and gives the boat the "custom" look.... maybe you could swing a franchise with the factory....

I made a proposition to C-Dory early in the summer. They aren't ready to do it yet.
 
I did not realize others had done this. I made mine last year
out of a piece of firewood that was fiddleback maple. Just has
wavy lines in it. First one was alder and was ok but ended up

I too had a custom teak helm hub made by David. It looks fantastic..great work.

Somehow, I think I got ahead of myself.

I received my new Black Walnut wheel hub from David today...now I need a boat to mate it up to. If the boat looks half as good as David's hub, I am set.

The boat (named after an inappropriate :shock: for all ages Pink Floyd song) could be ready in two or three weeks. David's hub will really start things off right for me.

Ha ha, I have the same problem. My hub will not be mated to the vessel until March.

If I take pictures of just the hub and post them to this site, I will give my wife the evidence she is looking for to have me committed. Why make it that easy for her?

This reminds me of the commercial where a woman goes to an architect, hands him a fancy faucet, and says, "Build me a house around this." :D

Most of us here are quite content with our craziness, Mark. Don't let the wife catch you sleeping with that hub under your pillow. ;) Good luck with the wait.
