Suez Canal

Pretty sure the Suzuki 200 for our C-Dory re-power that is headed to Sportcraft in Portland is on that container ship stuck in the Suez Canal...

That ship is going from China to Rotterdam. Your Suzuki would do a much shorter Pacific Crossing.

Bob, my post was a bit tongue in cheek! We paid the deposit on the Suzuki in January, so it is about three months ago give or take. Sportcraft says they THINK end or April or early May - "supply chain issues" - but they admit they really don't know.

While I am not glad to hear the motor is delayed I am relieved that you didn't go up there and get it without telling me beforehand. We are still wanting to meet you up there when you take your boat.

Oh, and don't fret, it is worth the wait!

You west coasters may be used to thinking like the above. Living in the mid-west,
in between the west and east coast, our thinking is that a product (your Suzuki)
coming from Japan going to a west coast destination (Seattle?) ending up in a
Portland dealer, would not be traversing east thru the Suez Canal.

If you're certain it's on that ship aground, I'd check your transport charges when
you get your motor.

Just a thought.

Aye.

Certainly the price of gas at my house will go up because of this - even though none of it comes from out of state.....probably even pay more for internet.

Maybe laying off the weed, booze , heroin etc. one would not be so foggy?? :thup

Apparently about 50% of the world's shipping is involved cause a near worldwide shipping constipation. It was probably intentional to raise the prices of everything   :cry
 Maybe not really all that funny
