Sundog Bubba Hut 3.0 / Cockpit Enclosure

Hi thataway - the roof is made out of 2 sheets of 1/2" plywood, it is sort of a prototype and the goal is to go to either aluminum or fiberglass but this year thought I would go with this, it turned out so nice though that it might last a few years before I upgrade :)

South of Heaven -- will keep the dingy on top of the cabin, that way we can have parties on top of the bubba hut, Kids can jump off and we will use it as a fishing spot when snagging sockeyes at Main Bay - one of our favorite fisheries

The photo is showing up on my computer--but I had visited your photo album first.

I had a hard top over a flying bridge made of what I suspect was "patio roof" material. It was aluminum sheets top and bottom and styrofoam 2" thick in the center. It had fiberglass all-around the edges, bonded to the aluminum top and bottom, with epoxy. It appears to still be going strong 17 years after I sold the boat (the boat was up for sale again, after doing the "Great Loop".

Probably the best is going to be a crowned roof molded of glass, with a foam core.
