For sale 2005 22 ft C-Dory.
The Susan E is for sale for the first time.
The Susan E was purchased by Susan and I in February of 2005 From E.Q. marine. When purchased from Les and Cathy (the best c-dory dealer ship in the world) she was fully out fitted with the following
1. Honda 90 + Nissan 9.9 kicker with tie bar connection to main. Mounted on kicker bracket. this kicker is electric and hand start with a alternator This allows you to pull start he kicker and charge dead batteries . This has saved us several times when we left a light on overnight. The main can also be pull started.

2. Twin Batteries (new batteries in 2010)
3. Three way battery switch
4. Raymarine C-80 navigation system with dm300 fish finder, Radar, Auto pilot and GPS. Also the North West map card.

5. Two Scotty electric downriggers on raised Swivel bases. ( just fully serviced by yours truly. Rigged with power pro line not wire) with wired in plugs under rail.

6. Full camper canvas enclosure.

7. Wallas stove heater. I have just had this in the shop and it is finally running. Both circuit boards have been replaced since new

8. Radar arch ( I have added 6 rod holders to the arch for better rod storage) Radar, vhf and gps antennas are all mounted on the arch.
9.20 gallon water tank with foot pump at sink.
10. Center opening window.
11. Forward facing seat with storage under floor. This seat will face in either direction. I had a large drawer add under the seat
.
12. porta potty
13. Hydraulic steering with auto pilot. I have also added a wireless remote to the auto pilot.
14 swim step with latter
.
15 trim tabs with indicator at dash.
16. Twin bulge pumps.
And all the other stuff that a c-dory comes with. Since then we have added or up graded the following.
1. I have added a shelf in the kitchen cabinet and relocated the wallas fuel further back in the cabinet.

2. Added a vent for the fresh air inlet for the wallas (this should have been done at the factory but was not)
3. Over head mounting of the Garmin VHF (this is a new unit this year that will receive and broadcast gps DSC info. This allows you to see DSC info and positions of other boats right on the Raymarine C-80
4. Am/fm, CD, iPod, USB port capable radio with two speakers
.
5. Two window fans great for the fog.

6. We have fully carpeted and insulted the sleeping berth. One of the best things we have done. Stays a lot warmer.

7. I installed three huge storage hatches in the v-berth. Susan loves this upgrade. The factory removed the foam and installed three small hatches when they repaired a common leak in the bow strip, I up graded to three over size hatches. You can drop a full size duffle bag thru the hatch and fit two of them in each hatch. Lots of storage
.
8. A full floor. My boat is the only 2005 that has the raised molded fiberglass floor. I had it installed by lake union sea ray. I bought the floor from the factory and had it installed. This is a great improvement over the original floor and I see why the factory switched to this system on all the newer boats.
9 when the floor was done the fuel tanks were replaced with the bigger ones.
10. Fish Box. We had a custom fish box installed. Again I had the good folks at lake union sea ray install this for me. It is in the splash well. It will hold 40 crab or four twenty pound salmon, or a hell of a lot of shrimp. My favorite upgrade. Even if you do not fish it makes for a great place to get the fenders out of the way. Provides plenty of storage and an extra place to sit and visit. Also makes it easier to get in and out of the boat.

12. Upgraded rear hatch covers. As we all know the factory hatches leak. So I, like many others, replaced the hatches with better ones that don’t leak at all. Love them.
13. Lewmar windlass. This was a used unit that I rebuilt myself. It works. Because of the poor design of the early lewmar sprint windlass it will have to be replaced at sometime as they all should. I installed a sepratebreaker and control switch for the windlass at the dash.

14. Wireless remote spot light. I had a stainless steel plate welded to the bow rail and installed a spot light with the wires running thru the rail to the v-berth. Great for finding crab and mooring buoys at the end of the day. Anytime you stay out a little too late you will love this light. Check your position at night when the wind is blowing. Peace of mind
.
15. Custom made (by Susan) window coverings and privacy shades for the camper back. No more people looking in while you are sleeping or eating. This full encloses the aft deck for privacy.
16. Storage self under table. If fact there is storage everywhere.. I also moved the floor of the storage above the water tank under the back seat. This also increased the storage over stock.
.
17. The table is larger than stock. I made a new one when I replaced the poor table stays with a better design.
18 I raised the step and storage locker under the pilots feet. This allows my feet of sit flat on the surface and it allows or twice the storage space over stock.
There are three remotes. One for the spot light, one for the auto pilot and one for the radio

Tom,
A vessel such as this is priceless!! Hard to believe your selling her after all the work, sweat and effort installing those upgrades to get 'er just right. Priceless...
er.. How much???

Sorry for the price not being posted. Yes its 48k or best offer. I have this boat just the way we wanted her but could not fit a head in her so moved up to bigger boat. tell your friends.

Looks like a great deal for somebody. I will be sending a link to my brother-in-law who lives in Edmonds. By the way, I was looking through all the great boat pics using you link above and noticed something.

Anybody ever tell you look just like Riker (Jonathan Frakes) from Star Trek?

And no we are not trekkies.

yes I get that all the time. I even had a gal call me about buying a house after she saw my web site. After about the third email it was apparent that she did not want to buy a home but did ask if I would dress in a Star trek uniform and spank her  I cut off all communications with her. Susan refers to her as my stocker.

Tom,
I almost choked on my lunch when I read about your stalker. Don't worry about the real estate market. If you're getting this kind of response from your website, you have a potentially lucrative second career. Will Susan make a Star Trek uniform for you?

Susan has been trying to get me to dress as Indianan
Jones for years. Has the hat and whip hanging on the wall.

Now lets get back to selling my boat.

hello tom,
approximately 5 weeks ago i started a thread with the heading, "does any c-brats actually buy boats that are listed on this site". in that post i casually mentioned i was going to sell my c-dory. within 24 hours i had three emails from c-brats stating they had an interest in my boat. with in 48 hours i had a confirmed contract. the new owner took delivery last weekend.
good luck, i'm sure offers will come your way.
best regards
pat

Well I had one offer today that I cant take and another fellow is coming to look in the next day or so. i will get it sold and hopefully for the right price. We just spent two days cleaning the inside, we had stuff in her I forgot I put on board. She needs a wax job but it will not stop raining long enough.

Your situation could become familar. As you may recall, we own a 27' Devlin and it's being sold this month. We plan to use our 22' Campion with porta potty or porta johnny as our sole cruising boat. In the summer, on the Columbia. In the Winter, the Sound. Anyway....I wonder how long my wife will cope with the porta-facility.

Well I have to admit to being bashful too. Most of the time, the porta potty stays stowed. 90% we use the red porta johnny, then open the window.

Generally, we cruise from dock to dock, occasionally anchoring or tying to a mooring ball. I think if we were to anchor exclusively, a private head with shower would become essential.

Hey Tom, Bringing it back up to the top for you.

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but the Susan E does have the most unique graphics design of any of the C-Dorys. That may not make a huge bump up in the price for you, but for someone who wants a boat like everyone else, and have it still be different, there is that cool graphic wrap.
Have a great day,

Harvey

Thanks, Tom. I hadn't looked at that. WOW, what a boat!!! It's a good thing you are an old (ex) truck driver. I agree, that should be the next step in the line.

Tom,
I just saw your boat listed at $14,000 on Craigslist. You'd better change that before you get a 100 calls tonight.

If it's really $14,000, I'll be over with a check.

Indeedy, this needs to be corrected pronto!
