Teak sun deck project completion.

I have finally completed the sundeck that I started researching almost a year ago. I had a friend of mine who does Tuna Towers fabricate the frame. Then I glued and screwed the teak planks onto the frame. Next is a big ol fiberglass antenna

The finished project

Looks good! I had to go back and review the original thread on this to remember that this is to provide a place for your girls to sunbathe. So is it easy enough for them to get on? Has it been tested out yet?

As it now sits its easily accessed from the bow but the fabricater is talking me into an aluminum ladder from the rear over the head. Maybe next year...

Gee, after buying a Grand Banks, anyone who wants to add teak to their boat is adventurous. But, looks like a great addition and at least it isn't structural. One piece of advice would be go let the teak age naturally with no coatings that will make it slick or degrade the wood. Natural teak is not slick which is exactly what you want.
