Valkyrie gave me a plastic keel guard when I purchased my Dory. I cut it into one foot strips and glued on the keel to protect the hull when pulling the anchor. This gave me about a 18" on each side of the keel. Due to a bad tide and a sharp turn I had to run the boat onto the trailer hard and fast. When I hit the port guide it broke. If not for that keel guard I would be making a hull repair this week. Thanks again.

Glad it worked out for you!

I had purchased the Keel Guard to put on our boat, but forgot to put it on before we had the bottom painted. I figured it should be put to use on someone else's C-Dory instead of living in the garage or basement for a long time.
