Just settling in to watch the Superbowl. It's been a spectacular day here... time out and about on Wild Blue, sunny skies, temps in the mid-70s. It's a far cry from my favorite of all time Superbowl days - with the crew of Discovery (our new-at-the-time friends, Brent and Dixie), trying to stay warm in the Florida Keys, and going to the Overseas Bar... sandwiched in like sardines, food buffett set up on the pool table, holding plates in our laps, barely able to hear the game because of the noise in bar. And we aren't sittin'-in-a-bar folks. But, we did win the booze basket that night. 8)
That was our first trip east with Wild Blue. Just reminiscing. It's a lot quieter here in the house with just the two of us (and a cat, of course). Joan made a bunch of "football food". Satellite TV. The door is open and I'm in shorts and a t-shirt. Not a bad way to spend "game day."
Best wishes,
Jim B.
