The "Hawk" is here

Roger had them installed at the factory....he had asked for them...and they diden't want to install them, finally when they agreed to install them, they actually had those hatches in stock....they were samples given to them to try out... I sure like them...and want to order some, but we need to find a local distributor ....sure would not want to order them from New Zealand.... they are really nice, good looking with excellent latches....and designed to fit ....the ones that come on our boats were never ment to be mounted flat....thats why they get water in them so easily....

I will contact them and ask if they have a local distributor .....and ask if they will give me a price on 10 sets of them....and buy them through my diving and salvage business.... maybe I can get a deal for us....

Roger,

I looked on their website. I think you meant part number SPA-40155. Did you order from them directly?

Jeff

Jeff- The part number on the package is SPA-40154. I see that SoPac did not have that number listed on their website. The color matches very well with the gell coat on my boat.

I just got a reply from the company..... my cost by buying a large number (20) would be $35.55 each....plus shipping....from a US
warehouse.... so I can't imagine the cost being much higher...

If there is enough interest I can order the 10 sets and re-box into sets and ship....

Are there 9 more folks that want a set ?? I don't want to make any profit... I will run it through my business.

I started a new topic..."New Lazarette Covers" so I can get the word out about ordering the covers.....should be able to find at least 9 others that want covers....I just don't want to loose money....

Roger would you post your great pictures of that hatch cover on the new topic .....please... I checked the part numbers and the number Roger has is Dream White which looks perfect on the boat....matches the gel coat perfect....I would not be suppressed if the factory does not start installing these as they are much better than the old ones we all have...

I removed the lazerette OEM Bomar hatches because of regular leakage from rain, sea, and washdown on the Bomar, and installed this same deck access hatch pictured above, known to me as manufactured and distributed by Imtra Marine. As I recall, the Bomar require some work to remove, with care given to avoid damage to the gelcoat, and there was some filing to get the correct fit for the new hatches, and some new drilling to match the deckplate pattern of the Imtra hatch. Imtra recommends use of silicone sealant so the plasic is not weakened. Both hatches were replaced in two hours.

Flawless performance over the last 6 months in sea, rain, and washdown - no leakage at all.

Hope this helps.
