I get this a LOT these days, never used to:

The connection has timed out

The server at www.c-brats.com is taking too long to respond.

Same old Macbook running Firefox. It seems like we are missing an ACK or something...but I am curious if this is on the server side or on the client side. Anybody else have a similar experience?

No problem here either. Was it happening before "The Crash" ? If not, Bill has a pretty exotic filter system that filters out or makes logging in difficult for most spammers and slimy lowlifes. He may have missed resetting your "good lawyer" exception after the system was resurrected.... :wink

We are a two MacBook family, one user hooked on Safari, the other running Firefox. Neither of us experiences server connection problems on the C-Brats site.

Pat-It's probably the OZ4, or maybe the 35Z5. Just put something in the cookie jar in the upper left hand corner of the home page. It'll work just fine after you kick start it. Glad I could help.

iMac OS 10.4.point.point.blah,blah,blah, etc.... here, and no problem with timing out, but I do have to log in frequently, and the system thinks I've read everything after I long in, which I haven't, and I do have problems uploading photos in Safari, but not in Firefox, although I can't see photos in albums in Firebox, though I can see them in Safari, and this sentence is about to bog me out, and I think it's all a Communist Plot to keep me from logging in any more posts, and although I'm posting my latest post, and I'm still in the first sentence, which isn't anything to brag about, and..................hey, somebody just cut me off !!!

Joe.

Alright Joe,
Why don't you just go a head an tell us how you really feel?
:wink :P

and to think we use to hand write a note, put it in an envelope and mail it to communicate.....cause we did not want to pay for a long distance phone call...

Just a thought.

Fall cleaning day on ALOYSIUS today.... and possible fuel filter switch out if WM has them both in stock...or a Honda lawnmower shop...

Problem solved, switched to Opera, and NO issues. Bizarre, as Firefox has always been rock solid for me. But hey, whatever works...
