Thanks, all. Surgery is over, doc came down to waiting area and reported that all went well, she'll be in recovery room for about another hour or hour and a half. More to follow.
I am in the recovery room with Patty now, got here 15 minutes ago. She was awake and able to tell me she felt like she had been hit by a truck. She was very tired, and is now catching a few zzzs. Fortunately for me, the wi-fi signal is floating around in here too, so I can pass the time while she sleeps.
My thoughts and prayers are with each of you for strength and healing during this difficult but temporary period in your lives. May God grant Patty a speedy and complete recovery. It has now been sixteen years, almost to the exact, day that my wife was diagnosed and had surgery. She has been healthy since as I am sure Patty will also be.
Patty and Pat - our prayers are with you and may God Bless you and your family.
When I signed off this morning just after midnight, I had no idea of the number of post there would be when I signed on this afternoon. That number at 17:45 is 130, now I know why there is so many.

Give Patty a big but gentle hug from us. We will continue to pray for healing, health and strength for Patty and for you and Austin. Keep us all updated as you're able.
Cathy and I have you two in our prayers. We look forward to the updates. God is great! We got great comfort knowing our friends from this group were praying with us. I hope you two feel the same peace and love.
We are home now...long day! It appears we got clear margins (cancer completely excised) and no apparent spread to the lymph nodes, but that awaits the pathology results, which will probably not be available until next week. THANK YOU ALL for your positive thoughts and support, it really matters and we appreciate it so much.
