This is really bad!

Hi Steve --

Congratulations on eliminating your source of stress. Confession is, in fact, good for the soul. However, for whatever my opinion is worth, I would never allow her to know about this thread. My wife would readily forgive me the boat. Finding she was a topic of discussion would require severe penance. :)

By the way, I always appreciate and admire Joe's insights and advice on boats. Women are another story. (Yes, where is that tongue-in-cheek emoticon when you need it?) I believe in dealing with women from a position of weakness, although I am a frequent violator. Hanging head, slumped shoulders, what-can-you-expect-from-a-little-boy air, followed by an irresistible "I wuv you." It works for me and sacrificing pride is often the wisest course.

Steve its always better to explain the truth than get caught in a lie. She will
get over the action but will hold on to a lie forever. Just start out with "guess
that I did while you were gone." Waiting to see how this turns out.

To quote the great philosopher, Dixie (High Priestess of the m/v Discovery), "It is better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission."

Glad to hear it all worked out, Steve. Of course, I would now be wondering what she did in Mexico that made your boat switch situation go so easy?

Best wishes,
Jim
