The throttle on my 2006 Yami 90 hp on Bobby Lou (19' Angler) has a long throw with no response, then suddenly kicks up fast. If I am not careful passengers suffer. The cable seems tight and I don't know where else to adjust it. Any ideas?

Hi Roger.... on the side of the control box is an adjustment screw...that is for minor adjustment of tension...other than that something inside the box could be out of adjustment....it is real easy to take that control apart and lube it... could be a kink in the cable..or corrosion in the cable....if the box is fine, then just replace the cable....
