Toll roads comming to WA State to Fight Global Warmig?

flagold,

To be clear, I am not defending anyone. I am pointing out that no one has been arrested or indited, so it is premature to blame anyone. It may turn out to be ELF, or not. In fact, it will turn out to be a person or persons, at present unknown, that is all we actually know.

ELF is nothing but a group of terrorist anarchists determined to bring about a "revolution". They are using the environmental movement as an excuse for their illegal acts.

The WA. State legislature is using taxes as a means of controlling us all, taking our money and re-distibuting it, all in the name of "global warming". [Anyone else notice the record snowfall this year in the Cascades? :?] They are nothing more than socialists who are bought & owned (meaning corrupted) by "environmental groups" pushing an agenda they think is needed. In King County they already have a "critical areas ordinance" which prohibits rural landowners from developing, using, altering in any way or even building on the land they own and pay property taxes on. THis number can be up to 65% of the land they own. Can you imagine?

If this comes to fruition, I'll retire here in 10-12 years and the first thing I'll do is sell my house and move out of state. This state is now beyond liberal. They've moved into socialism...ask Cubans how well that's worked.

Mostly tragic and occasionally "odd" which is perhaps what you meant-but never funny.

Totally agree with you Ken. However, when it comes to "aid calls", I've certainly encountered some unusual, remarkable, and somewhat humorous events, although these would probably be better described as "the crazy things some people do". (Perhaps the best way to describe it would be to label it "funniest home videos gone bad"). I probably should have written a book on that stuff, but there are a few books on the market that already include similar occurrences. Unfortunately, most of what I remember is tragic.

Reminds me of years ago when I was in law enforcement. Received a message from a distant police department saying that one of our residents had been killed in a car accident in their jurisdiction and was asking that we notify next of kin. We drove out to the house to make contact with the wife. It was about 10 at night. Got to the house and the lights were on and lots of cars around and music in the house. Thought, oboy this is going to be harder than I thought. Knocked on the door and asked for Mrs. so and so and she came to the door. I delivered the message and she said "I know, that's why we are having the party". Walked away wondering what just happened.

A "funny" incident that I responded to was a fire many years ago started by an iguana (the big lizard.) Fortunately no one was home at the time and he managed to move a heat lamp which had been set up for him. Burned one end of a duplex (total loss.) The iguana was also a total loss.
