Tomcat fuel tank access woes

The tank on my Tomcat used a 1/4 valve/fitting
the feed tube sceen was completly clean
you can eliminate any future issues by just replacing the valve with a 1/4 barb fitting as long as all your fuel lines and engine are Above the fuel tank
the valve is not needed or requierd then.
Tip
If you have two engines or two fuel tanks you can have some spare fuel line rigged with fittings so you can run both engines or engine off the good tank till you fix the other.I used the extra inlet/outlet on my fuel/water seperators to make the switch
switching the tank fittings at sea would not be fun

Long story, while looking a C-Dory boats in FL we found a Parker 2320 on Craig's List in Sarasota. It was a case of a 2 owner well cared for boat and at below market value price and less than comparable CD 22.
The seller wanted to sell it to the first person with cash and had too many nut baskets contacting him. I think he thought I was until he saw the certified check at dinner after a test drive.
We bought and piloted it home to our investment now retirement home on a canal to Pt Charlotte. We might sell if the market recovers but I doubt it since it is The Admiral's dream of a lifetime. I have never see her so happy.

I contacted Parker and was planning to order directly but I emailed Moeller Company and ordered directly from them. To add to our good luck and story, they gave us both sets for free

I hope you had a speedy recovery.

We love the Parker and our davits are spaced 25" apart and can lift it. The boat is 28'5" long and we can swing in the boat and store on stands. We just replaced the cables with larger diameter and upgraded to SS cables. Patty is sewing motor covers and we are ready for some boating and fishing. Soon will purchase a trailer and take it to new waters.
 
We did not realize that the hose barb that connects to the elbow on the tank has a built-in anti-siphon valve. It looks just like an ordinary fitting! On our Venture, we will revisit this connection as we thought the main problem with fuel starvation was the pick-up in the tank. We simply didn't recognize this hose barb as containing an ASV fitting; it looks just like any other hose barb.

HEllo Dave,

On my CC23, the fittings DO NOT contain any type of ASV...they are just 'elbows.'
