Lots of TomCats here, no trim tabs that I know of. You don't really need permatrims either although many of us, including me have them. I don't think there's a place for the tabs, given the armstrong bracket on the stern.
Agree, it would be difficult if not impossiable to put trim tabs onto a Tom Cat 255. It is not necessary. The Permatrims allow a lower planing speed--and thus keeping planing in rougher water. I would put them on again. Just be sure that they are running on the surface of the water.
