Can be seen at 60 38.09N 147 22.62W Elev -22ft MSL.

The boat was securely anchored on the night before and sank overnight (cause unknown). The three hunters were camped on shore and had all their food, cell phones, and marine radio on board to keep them from getting wet in the rain. We found them two days later hungry but not much worse for the wear.

just off naked island, nice What type of boat was it? why did it sink too much rain? anchored during low tide with out enought rope?

Don't think it was rain. The owner did say his bilge pump didn't work. It was an old commercial salmon skiff and the best guess was a cracked weld. He had plenty of rope out. We tried to tow it into shallow water at high tide but couldn't make it budge with twin Volvo diesels. (I wasn't on my CD22). The boat was vertical with the motors on the bottom.

boat valued at $72,000. engines valued at $28,150.
picture value is, priceless!

Hey Joel, Roger, wanna go diving...?

if the motors were not running at the time they went under they should be ok. a little cleaning and fluid change. I once had to get my 76 chevy off the lake bottom (dont ask). I dried it out and changed the fluids three times and drove that truck for another year and then sold it. I last saw it in Sac. two years after I sold it so that was 4 years after the incident.
