Two cool boats for sale

cbull-

Are you referring to DSS0029 and DS0028 ? (The Monark and Sea Ark?)

Corrected address:

two ex-police boats in N.J.

I like the side doors on both boats! Would make nice dive boats with a couple of extra handles on the top of the door surfaces and a few extra ladder rungs!

Where are all these things coming from? Most of the boats being sold from Brick, NJ, are 30-40 years old, with the disclaimer "abandoned for a minimum of four(4) years stored outside exposed to all weather conditions"...

Are these asset-forfeiture boats (drug-runners), property-tax foreclosures, or what? How did the township of Brick, NJ end up with so many? WTF?

The link states...
This is a used asset, prieviouly owned and operated by the NJ State Police Marine Unit.

Looks like a deal at that price!

Also listed for sale are two 20 foot Boston Whaler center consoles used to patrol the Delaware River. For several years a single state trooper, dressed in his highway patrol outfit complete with long sleeves, Sam Brown belt, and a wide gold stripe down his pants. would be out there on 90 degree summer days. Around 2000 they got a more appropriate uniform. The boats shown in Joe's picture were used mostly on the eastern side of the state, at the 'Jersey Shore' and in the Hudson. They probably were on duty on 9/11.

What would the rough value of this aluminum Sea Ark hull be? 10K?
Wapiti

I'd considered bidding on one of the pilothouse versions...at hull weight times .70 cents (scrap price) sight unseen...but I think they are both already over that.

the hull today would be over 30k. These boats restored with two new twins could fetch 40-50k by a fire dept.or police dept. somewhere.
