Unusual C-Dory incidents on dry land.

The newly named 2005 C-22 "Miss Lizzie" was the centerpiece of a wedding reception held on November 1st, here in San Diego.

I've seen tons of C-Dory photos in odd places - some pretty dangerous, but a major role in a wedding reception? That's gotta be right up there with the Factory Guys crossing the Columbia bar. Certainly just as rare....

Just 28 days ago and only a few days after their wedding, the buyers of the Jenny B took possession and hauled it home as their wedding present. They deliberately kept the purchase a secret from all their friends and co-workers at Scripps Institute of Oceanography. The grand "unveiling" went down at the reception held on the 1st. As you can imagine, it was a hit.

I think they're in love with C-Dorys, folks.

Anybody else had a truly unusual C-Dory incident happen while NOT on the water or at the ramp? I know Chris (Rana Verde) Byrdman and I had a bunch of tourists taking photos of the Jenny B and Rana Verde "twins" at a public pier a little before the San Diego Gathering and Bill/El even had a film crew tagging them on the Erie Canal trip that ended up in a PBS video. We've all been held up at fuel stops by gawkers and somewhere I remember a Brat got pulled over by a traffic cop just so he could ask about the C-Dory? Gotta be more.

A few years ago, on our way to Lake Powell, we were traveling through Las Vegas in the motorhome with the boat in tow.
I had a trucker pull up next to me waving his CB mic.
I reached down and picked up mine, turned it on and talked with him for several miles.
He kept asking questions about the boat, what kind, where are they made, where could he get one- etc.
