Updated Honda 80 and 100 HP models

'Bought time they put NMEA 2000 interface in their engines. Wish my BF90D had it (though not enough to buy a new engine).

They've had NMEA 2000 on many of their engines for about 6-8 years. Unfortunately, my BF135s purchased in 2008 were manufactured just prior to the addition of NMEA 2000 to BF135's an 150's.

Yes, but they skipped the BF90D (and BF75D) when they went to NMEA 2000. The new 100 will have it, but I don't know if it will be on new 90s.

The 89 and 100 were released in UK in late 2013--Makes me think that emissions testing may have been an issue in the USA. Also not ready to swap out a good carbed 90 for the new 100--but I would love to have the EFI, larger alternator and NMEA 2000...

I just re powered with a new Honda 90. Nice machine...
The soon to be released 100 hp is a 90 with a different computer map, but must use higher than 98 Octane gasoline. To achieve the 100 hp one needs to turn 5900 RPM. Source: Honda Marine dealers meeting
