V-berth dimensions

As options to Hypervent, I have looked at "Deckadence" (marineflooring.net) which I think would be close to the same as far as air movement. Another thought was DryDeck. Both have open air movement ability, and neither are as harsh as the Hypervent.

Admitted, I have not seen either used for mattress ventilation purposes.

I have the Deckadence on my cabin and cockpit floor. It is heavy, fairly thick, and very expensive. Great for the floor, but I don't think I would use it in my Berth! I did buy the cheaper Yoga mats today. Two of them. They are 68" x 24" x 3 mm. The more expensive mats are only 4" longer and 4 or 5 mm in thickness. My plans are to leave the pink board down under the mattress, and then put the mats from just under the edging of the mattress, to up along the sidewalls. Looking to keep the bedding completely dry this way. (I'll place the lower edge of the mats, under the pink board I already have.) Colby

Deckadence is probably too soft to function the same as Hypervent. It also has many more "fibers" and is meant to be comfortable to walk on.
 
The vinyl "spaghetti loop " pool mats are much cheaper than the Deckadence, but a similar weave--without the silicone dabs on the bottom. Agree the Hypervent is probably cheaper and better suited.
 
I've used the yoga mats for a season now, and very happy with how they've performed. I still get moisture from condensation, but at least the bunk and bedding are kept dry. As a recap, I have the 1/2" or 3/4" pink insulation board under my bunk, and the cheap walmart yoga mats along the side. This winter I am looking to replace my bunk cushions and just reviewing thru past threads to see what others have done. Colby
