Does anyone know why my Gypsy drive cap loosen up on its own. I’ve tighten it with the wrench provided???

Probably wear on the clutches. Are you doing properly inspecting the clutches for corrosion or wear? The windlass should be washed down with fresh water after each use. I prefer the Horizontal Lewmar. There often is not enough "fall" for the rhode/chain because of the size of the anchor locker in the C Dory. We don't know what boat you have. The TC 255 has different issues than the 22 or the 25./23/26
