VOTE!!

Oh yeah? Well, I had calls from both Bill Clinton and Rudy Guliani tonight...I would say about a dozen automated calls tonight. I finally took the phone off the hook.

Well - at least the phone is still above water. Apparently your electrical and internet source is also above water.

Sorry to hear it's so rainy and wet up there! Hope the flooding doesn't get too bad or to any of our C-Brats.

As for the Raiders, you can just keep them, they're the worst team in the NFL!

And put that one guy out in a leaky inner tube on an outgoing tide the the Straights of Juan de Fuca. Unless you want to lynch him first.

Stay Dry! (Try, anyway.)

Joe.

The reason I vote is simply because... if I don't vote I have NO right to complain.
I think we have come a long way since the sixtes where I remember as a young teen sitting in the 1951 Ford service truck, on the way to a job I might add, and seeing the following in the west coast mirror. :embarrased

Money and whiskey was being exchanged for votes! And to beat it all it was on the 4 room school house steps... the polls. I never will forget it was Kennedy and Nixon running and both sides were buying votes. :!: :amgry

In WV at that time the old saying was vote often (it has been said dead people have cast ballots in WV races) and vote Democrat... as an old adage... Robert Byrd is STILL :embarrased   the WV senior senator.

...

Comedian George Carlin has a routine where he says just the opposite is true... if you vote for a person and they turn out to be a jerk, you have no right to complain... 'cause you voted for him.

On the bright side, there will be a two-week reprieve from the campaign advertising... before they start on the next campaign for the election two years from now! :disgust

Hi Folks,

I voted in Massachusetts where democracy is dead. In January we will have a Democratic Governor and a Democratic Legislature. All the Illegals will get the goods. The hard working stiffs of Massachusetts will get the usual. Nothing.

One friend of mine (I have a few.) who sells to manufacturers said that as soon as a manufacturing company gets 100 employees, they leave the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

My closes friend in Hingham just moved to New Hampshire. His auto insurance is one half the Massachusetts cost. His house taxes are a quarter of Hingham Ma. house taxes for the same size house, and lots more land, and with a view. He pays no state income taxes.

As I drive through New Hampshire I began to realize that New Hampshire is run for the benefit of the citizens, Massachusetts is run for the benefit of the state employees.

I shall continue to vote, locally , state wise, and National wise. After all, up to this January, the Republicans had it all, and blew it. Now we will have a speaker of the House, who is about my age(67), but looks twenty years younger in office. I think we should buy stock in every company that makes its money on making older women, younger. Plastic Surgeons (what a name) will be the next super rich.

God Bless America.

Thank you for letting me share.

Fred (A red man from the bluest state in the union.)

Fred, you might live in a blue state, but how blue remains to be seen. Try living in the Peoples' Republic of Oregon. We live on the cutting edge of blue. I was born and raised here. We have produced some terrific leaders in their day, like Wayne Morse, the conscience of the Senate. Governor Tom McCall, and a few others. But those days are over. I hate to do it but when retirement rolls around in five years I will leave my home, most likely forever.
