Voyages

Dr. Bob,

Our best wishes for a quick recovery and we look forward to seeing you and Marie at Hontoon in March.

Bob,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Marie. Hopefully your procedure today will be as successful as medically possible. You're a remarkable individual, and we hope to have many more years of your kind friendship and knowledge.

Well the "Doctor of last resort" came thru. I have had a number of angioplasties, and stent placements thru out the US,including the renown Cleveland Clinic... Bar non, this cardiologist was one of the brightest, and most proficient I have met in my life.

He was able to place two stents, each about an inch long, in my main right coronary artery. I particularly appreciate that after making the angiogram, he immediately brought Marie and my Daughter, into the cath lab annex, and showed them the video, as well as sketches of the vessels, and explained what he was gong to do. I could hear him and their voices--which was very re-assuring. I did not have any pain during the procedure (which was not my experience during past ones).

Thank you all for the very kind words and prayers...I know that they helped! We don't know what the long term effect will be. but if the procedure had not been done, it would have been fatal in very short order, with 97% occlusion in two places, of the remaining blood supply to my heart. The cath lab was only a year old and had the latest equipment, and superb personal.

We don't know what lies ahead, but it looks like I will have a some more time. Lets hope and pray, it includes some more C Brat events. (We don't know if there will be any improvement in the heart output, but at least it should help with the pain.

Our best to you all, and again, thanks for being part of our family!

A second "Great News" here. Prayers for thanks giving.

Hopes for continued pain free days, activities and family time. And thanks for including CBRATS in your family, . . . . again.

Sounds like hour home cardiologist was right on the money with his referral and recommendation. I'm sure you are passing work back to him/her along with the good news.

Looking for plenty more posts, some CBGT appearances and some nice long evenings on the porch. We are glad for you.

Great news Bob, we've been on pins and needles all day. Hoping for a favorable outcome.

Maybe we can talk some more about boats. Planning to see you at future events. Give Marie a hug from us.

Whew! Prayers answered, and thanks to a great cardiologist. Great to have you back on board and looking forward to continued fine boating information from you.

So happy it turned out well. Your C-Brat family needs you and loves you. As those great philosophers Yogi Berra and Lenny Kravitz have pointed out, "it ain't over 'til it's over"..... :love

Even the software (or something in the CBRATS site) thinks this is great news. I know I'm glad, and pretty sure Jim is to, that ypou are back and doing well, but I was only trying to edit a miss spelled word (New to News) not enter a post 3 times. I thought I was having computer lag, but maybe it was something in the site as well.

Anyway, we are glad you're procedure went well Dr Bob, and wish you all the best in whatever you are planning for your future.

Outstanding!
One hurdle at a time and reduced pain is wonderful.

Bob -
shoot me a pm about the doc, cath lab, procedure - nitty gritty
LOL

thanks a million and Merry Christmas to you and The Admiral and Austin fleet

Yes my whole family and extended family is rejoicing. This last 36 hours is the first time in over a month I have had a day free of angina pain. Also my pulse and oxygen saturation remain stable gong up stairs (slowly). Not normal, but I can always pray that with some time, and better perfusion, that I will improve my cardiac output. Still taking it very easy, but I am convinced I will get back to Pensacola in early January...Using the boat remains an unknown--I have to avoid putting too much work load on Marie. If we cannot take the boat, there are other options for Hontoon Island...including our RV, and a dinghy for passage, and getting along the areas of the Island during the Gathering from an RV park and out truck...

Thanks for all of the prayers--as we are still praying for more strength!
