Wallas 85D Shuts Down!

I have a Wallas 84D Stove and 270 Lid about 12 years old. Last summer I had a problem with the stove shutting down all by itself. This happens while cooking and also when running it as a heater with the lid down. I read somewhere it might be the overheat sensor. Does anyone know where it is located? Thanks!
 
It's a little green or blue disc, about 1/2 inch in diameter underneath just off center of stove. Has a green plug that plugs into the board. It makes contact with the sheet metal under the burner.
