We live on Vancouver Island and are so excited about getting a 22' Cruiser so that we can explore the many wonders around where we are living. Hope we are able to attend the get together in Bellingham in August, so that we can meet some other Dory owners.

Hope to see a bunch of you cruising around the island,,,,just don't bump into us.......lol.

We will let u know when we pick a name.

Jamie and Denise

Welcome aboard! Where is Cumberland on Vancouver Island? Hope to see you in Bellingham...the Gulf Islands and Desolation Sound are just some of the best cruising areas anywhere, we are also hoping to get to the west side of Vancouver Island one of these days real soon now!

Congratulations and welcome aboard! Your new boat will be perfect for exploring your beautiful cruising waters.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Jamie and Denise,
Welcome and Congratulations. You not only have a new boat, you now have a really great family, (C-Brats) to share, learn and enjoy it with. I grew up on "The Island", not far from you, at Port Alberni and then down island to Sidney. Don't get back often enough, but sure love it when we do. Getting to be enough C-Dory's up there that you all could have a CBGT, (C-Brat Get Together). It's sort of like a family reunion, only everybody has a good time :D . Might even be some southerners drift up that way. Several were up to Nanimo last summer, and the Broughtons are also spectacular from what I've heard. Hope we can cross wakes some time.

Congratulations on your new boat
we spend time each summer on quadra and up the johnstone strait
but this will be the first summer with our cd22 I can't wait
so many places to explore here on the island
just wondering did you buy your boat on the island?

Welcome and congratulations! There are at least two other C-Brats on Vancouver Island. As well as Bellingham, you might consider coming to the Friday Harbor or Anacortes get togethers. Friday harbor is May 16-18 and Anacortes is a week later. You will certainly be welcome and a get together is the best way to quickly meet other Brats, see boat modifications, and have a good time. This site is a great resource and full of good people. I think at least two other Canadians are thinking of coming to Friday Harbor and if you have questions about how a get together works just ask here and you'll get more answers than you probably want.

Congrats- now the fun begins--- you can start outfitting the boat and make it your own.
These boat start with personality and when you tweek it a little they seem to come to life.

Jamie and Denise, congratulations on getting your Dory. We hope to see some pictures in the album before long.

I looked up Cumberland on Google Earth, and it appears that you are close to both salt and fresh water boating.

Kind Regards,

Steve

I remember what someone said on this site when we first go My Heaven. It's something about a boat that the newness last much long than a car, motorcycle and the like. I've got to admit, for me, it's still very much like Christmas morning everytime we take her out. Learning new things, gaining the confidence in out abilities and our boat. You'll find this site is just a well of information, many people willing to give of their time just to assist you with whatever comes. Again, congrats!!! :smileo

That really is true -- I hadn't thought about it exactly that way before!

Congratulations Jamie & Denise!!! I still remember the day we took delivery of C-Dancer. I don't know what it is about C-Dories but I still get tickled pink thinking about the fact that we're owners of a C-Dory. I hope you two get as much pleasure out of your C-Dory as Caryn and I have from C-Dancer!

Hopefully we'll see you this summer at a CBGT or in your neck of the woods. We love the Gulf Islands and I'm still dreaming of a fishing trip to the west coast of "the Island".

CONGRATS ON THE NEW BOAT. YOU ARE JUST IN TIME FOR THE SEATTLE BOAT SHOW END OF THE MONTH WITH FACTORY DINNER.
GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO MEET C BRATS. HOPE YOU CAN MAKE IT THERE.
CHECK THE THREAD FOR DETAILS.

Congratulations Jamie & Denise.

You can already see what a great group the C-Brats are !!! We had the pleasure of meeting lots of them at the Seattle Boat Show a couple of years ago. If you can ....I would recommend that you take in the SBS this year (we are) and you will meet some of the nicest people afloat.

We are in Courtenay and I look forward to getting together soon. There are getting to be many C-Dory owners on the Island and maybe we will have to have a C-Brat get together this summer
