What is the valve fitting by the bilge pump

I’m new to boats and C Dory. Does someone know what this black connector valve is? It is attached to a pump. It is adjacent to the bilge pump on my 2021 Venture Sport.

Where does the pump go to? It's possible that valve is to bring in sea water. Could be a cockpit wash down? I see a filter between it and the pump.

Yup looks like a through hull for a washdown pump to me? keep it closed when away from the boat (while the boat's in the water)

Wash down is probably correct. I can't directly trace the hose, but it could be connected to this valve that is labled "washdow". Thanks, guys! (I'm a newbie to boats.)
