What you are looking at is the shower nozzle sprayer control lever. Once the roll pin breaks or slides out it is impossible to re-assemble and must be replaced. See your local dealer to order a replacement nozzle.

I've always wanted to ask this question: Has anyone ever taken a shower in a C-25 head?
We had a hot water leak at the Tee where the water line branches from the supply to go to the shower and sink. At the aft end of the under sink cabinets. It just slid off, so I pushed it back on and re-tightened. Wrong. When it was installed at the factory, they used some of that sealer on the fitting. When it hardens/dries, it makes the grooved fitting a smooth fitting. Had to pull the joint apart and clean out all the "junk." While I was about that, I removed the Tee, and put a straight union in. Much simpler and we never have used that shower.
The factory can't put sealer in correctly: they missed the anchor locker, and put the excess in the plumbing fittings. Those fittings are designed to work without sealer. LEAVE IT OUT.

There are many folks who take showers regularly in the CD 25 and TC 255 heads. We find that the TC is easier--mostly because of the head room for those of us who are tall. For me, the easiest way to shower is to sit on the commode (plastic sheeting over the seat may keep it dryer and prevent the holding tank from filling up the holding tank. We also have a shower curtain on the inside of the doors to prevent water from leaking out into the cabin--some boats have gaskets on the door.
As to the fittings: First C Dory has used Bostick sealant on the pipe threads for some reason--this is not a good idea, as you note. Second--this thread is British Pipe Standard Thread, instead of American Pipe Thread standard--they are close, but not identical, and will leak. Ours broke, and the factory sent us a new fitting. We replaced them with no Bostick and they work well.

OK, so I was slightly mistaken, it's not impossible to reattach the nozzle control lever. If you can find the original hinge pin or a proper sized replacement (short with a very small diameter...no jokes from you, Byrdman) you CAN unscrew the aerater face of the nozzle and use a 7/16 deep well socket to push the plunger in far enough so that the other end is accessable enough to insert the pin in one side of the lever, through the rod end and out the other side of the lever.
It's operations like this that make me wonder why the Creator didn't design us with three hands...maybe the third one would have two thumbs!!!
