What would you like to see on the new C-Ranger R25 tug?

Joe, I know it's blasphemy but some of us don't fish...... :cry

Yes, you heard me, we don't fish....

Now, that having been said, I have nothing against those that do, and have even been known to eat one of the fishy things. In addition, if someone figures out how to troll for Black Angus Cows without being charged with Rustling, I'll be the first to buy the biggest downrigger ever seen on a C-Dory

So, the layout for fishing on a C-Ranger Tug of any sort doesn't concern me!! They are neat boats and if I can figure out how to sell several of my houses, I might even be able to afford one...

Charlie-
Ha!!!

I think I covered myself they way I conditionally worded the little episitle above!

Still and all, we all fit into different categories:

Those who don't fish.

Those who fish, but don't catch fish.

Those who fish and catch fish, but that don't keep them (C&R).

Those who fish, catch fish, keep them, and then give them away.

Those who fish, catch fish, keep them, and eventually eat them.

Those who fish, catch fish, keep them, and evidently take them home to let them grow up to twice or more their original size overnight, according to their fish stories.

Maybe if you could figure out what the guys in the last category were doing with their fish and do the same with your money you could easily afford a C-Ranger 25!

Joe.

Joe - I qualify as having "known the 22" and don't agree about the raised cockpit being less "user friendly" - that seems to be mostly a fishing thing. We love the cockpit on the CD25...it is roomier, easier to keep clean, and has a flat surface for tables and chairs. Come on over some time and sit a spell, you might just come away with a different opinion!

Thanks, Pat, for the heads-up on the alternate view of the floor question!!

We fishermen sometimes think everybody must think like us, I guess.

Looks like I'm mending fences today for a little over-zealous posting last night!

Glad to hear from you again, was fun talking with you at the boat show!

Joe.

And back atcha! The SBS / CBC is just "steaksauce"! (A-1, it is patter from "How I Met Your Mother," which if you haven't been watching it, is one of the funniest new things on the boob tube).

Hey Joe, don't feel badly. I'm always interested to find out the next day what I said the previous night after a few :cocktail :cocktail :cocktail

Kinda fun.

Actually I'm quite in agreement with you Joe on the drawbacks of the multi-level floor for fishing. But as you stated the answer is to put the rear helm station in or better yet simply add a good kicker with a TR-1 Autopilot AND the rear helm station :)

I actually think the C21 would make a great fishing platform. Lots of cockpit space, a nice stable platform and easy access to the helm.

Charlie-

Actually, I get up every night about 1-3 am and go to work making myself offensive and stirring up trouble w/o the benefit of anything except an occasional 1/2 tablet of pain killing codeine! :crook

Gets me back to sleep after putting my tail in the wringer for my daily remarks. :smileo

Not really trying to be offensive at all, just up in the middle of the night with back pain and bored saying all the same old things. :disgust

Guess I better remember to be a little more diplomatic and anticipate the reactions of others. :embarrased

We all love our boats and the way we have them set up and are a little sensitive to varying degrees about discussing all their pros and cons. :wink

Joe.

Like Pat, I too have known the CD22. For fishing, the absense of the raised rear deck is a wonderful thing. For keeping kids in the boat, having no floor is great, too - the kids would have to jump to fall out. For lounging around, getting in and out, and entertaining at CBGTs, the raised deck in the CD25 is the winner. I do worry about the kids being close to the open area between where the rail ends and the cabin bulkhead, but it isn't treacherous enough to cause me to put a gate in there yet. Going in and out of the cabin is a non-issue for us. If anything, the step causes you to pay a little more attention - without thinking about it - and makes the likelihood of banging the top of the head when going through the door much less. And average fishing day on the CD22 got me several head knockers; I don't recall ever banging my head on the CD25.

And, like Joe, I too have felt the need to mend fences after a post. But unless and until we change the name of the C-Brats to the C-Saints, I don't think anyone is worrying too much about it.
