Will it rain in Southern California?

I'm getting ready to drive from Cal State Northridge in NW LA (the San Fernando Valley) to USC in downtown LA. 20 miles. On a regular day in 1980, 20 minutes. A regular day in 2010, 60 minutes. A rainy day in 2010... if you never hear from me again its because I'm still on the road :cry: .
 
Boy am I happy I am in Louisiana right now...sun is out...nice weather..it did rain a bit last night... also glad I left the drain plug out in the boat ...from what I hear it poured at our home in California....
