winter projects

anybody have any great winter projects planned for their boat? I think I might tackle organizing the storage area under the sink...maybe stuff some drawers under there (I'll make sure they're laundered first)

Yea, I'm gonna fix that anchor roller, install another bilge pump and put a few Sturgeon in the boat this winter....
Maybe come up with a propane locker and a new tank too....

My favorite winter project for the boat is to take it out every other week for a night out in the San Juans. Find a nice little cove leeward and on the other side of the island from the wind and anchor or buoy. Wallas going on low, Good book or maybe even a movie on the laptop. Got the full bar available. Can call Kate if I need a female voice ( or there is the DVD.)

The first day of retirement starts on January 1. I'm planning to remove and refinish/restore all the outside wood. I'd like to take the paint off the bulkhead and get it back to the nice finish it started out with. There are good photos and suggestions in other threads about this. After that, we start on the cabin. Later on maybe a dinghy that can be carried on the cabin top. Bolger's "Elegant Punt" looks promising. (Ambitious, huh?)

Pat,
Congrats in advance on the retirement. My plan is to hold off until the end of next April. It should coincide nicely with ice out!

Has anyone mounted a large instrument in the lower left corner of the 16 Cruiser's tiny dash? I don't want to try the holesaw until I know there's room.

Fuel flow meter requires a 3" (3-1/8") hole. 3-3/8" overall diameter externally.

Right now Levity is getting a thorough cleaning and 303 treatment. I intend to keep boating until the water goes to hard or the roads are wrong for trailering. A Barber Chair and an additional bilge pump will be added before spring.
