Winterizing outboards

I've searched, and found info on stabil in fuel tanks, and winterization steps for the engines. We'll be using the boat every 3 or 4 weeks during the winter, so .... if we put the engines fully down when we store them for the off days, does that dump all the water out of them? Will they be okay if we get a few days below freezing? The winters are normally pretty mild...EXCEPT for the ice storms! :lol: Certainly nothing like the winters in Joisey when I'd shovel a couple hours to get the driveway done and along comes a grader and pushes street snow right into your driveway cuz you've done such a GREAT job! One year I didn't think we'd lose the snow on the sides of the driveway until June!

You are correct! Full down drains all the water in an outboard. The only thing you have to watch is if you like to tip them up to trailer (normally not required) the prop hub WILL hold water and that will freeze and crack the seal/hub/etc. Depending on outside temp you need to keep those engines down when you pull them out.
You should be good!

Don't forget to have plenty of fuel for the WALLAS!
