wipers

I find when I put on wipers they will not work only if I try to move them by hand then they work Is there any way the wiper motors(API) can be taken apart or are they a sealed unit ? I feel like taking them out and just putting rain -ex on . what do those suckers cost to replace ? Living in florida we usually have torrential rain in the summer any thoughts out there Jim
 
I still can't get the wipers to work can they be rebuilt or do I need to buy new or just take them out and use rain -ex the port wiper will work if I help it along I spray the windows down with water first could this be electrical not getting enough juice or are they frozen up ?? how should I attack this problem?
 
I'm going down to the boat and try again to take out the port side wiper why are they so hard to take out ? Any suggestions out there I tried to look up wipers search did not find anything useful
I put down ( windshield wiper removal ) I will try online google thanks in advance for any help out there
