Yet another new C-Dory owner

Been lurking here for a couple years, looking, learning, and laughing, and waiting for the day when I would have my own 22' Cruiser.

A week ago, on my birthday, I looked at a '92. It didn't quite fit the bill. That night I was again checking C-Brats to see if any new boats were on the market. I was excited to see that Fireguy had put his Cruiser up for sale.

Long story short, Friday I went to check out Fireguy's Cruiser, and the damned thing followed me home. (Thanks, Brooks, it was a pleasure doing business with you.)

I plan to spend the remainder of my working years (about 5) learning my boat and getting to know the Puget Sound area as well as Lake Chelan and maybe Lake Roosevelt. After that, who knows? Desolation Sound? Northern Vancouver Island?

Right now though, I'm still just a

John & Camille,

Congratulations on your new boat! Yes, do plan on coming to the C-Brat PotLuck Friday night at the Larkspur Landing Hotel in Renton. You'll meet a bunch of other C-Brats, most of them with 22s. See the discussion thread and sign up at the top of the home page. I'll have your name tags waiting!

I still remember what it felt like the day we got our CD...and I still smile every time I look at her. The fun starts now!

Congratulations! Be sure to come to the SBS and, sign up for the Friday Harbor CBGT in Mid May. You will get a chance to see a lot of 22's and what people have done to them. Welcome.

Ohh..very cool boat name. I can just see it now: " Coast Guard, Coast Guard, this is Thinking, over. Vessel calling Coast Guard, did you say you were sinking, over...No I'm not Sinking, I'm Thinking, over...

Great to have another active C-Brat poster and C-Dory owner!

C-Thinking.... C-Nimrod (too many of them already... )... The name will come to you in time.

Welcome.

John & Camille,

Welcome to the C-Brat site and congrats on the new to you boat. :thup I remember bringing our home, late one night, and couldn't just leave it in the yard. Took and hour or so, before I finally realized it was going to stay, and then I think I got up several times during the night to check and see if it was still there. (Actually, more than one night

And the name, take your time and it will come to you. You want to get it right, because it's something you will be saying a lot, for a long time we hope. :D

Congrats! Lots of fun, lots to learn, and a great boat to do it all with. Good luck with picking the name that suits you. :thup

Best wishes,
Jim B.

:D Cogratulations. I wish you many hours of loving fun aboard your new vessel. I have found I have fun even fixing "problems" as I am still "playing" with my "toy."

Congratulations John and Camille! Welcome to a great group of folks with a never ending bunch of good ideas and stories. And a few nutty ones which make it all interesting!

Speak for yourself, Charlie.

Congratulations, John & Camille. You may have another new Brat to bounce ideas off if a relatively new lurker has a successful trip to Portland today from down here in San Diego....

Looks like the market for C-Dorys is still relatively strong. You two made a good investment. They're not appreciating assets but they don't depreciate like SOB's. (SOB aka Some Other Brand, aka "sob, why did I buy that one instead of a C-Dory?)

John and Camille,
Congratulations on your fine new vessel and welcome to the C-Brats.
From one of your C-Brat neighbors, one town south of yours. :smile

P.S. I'm not one of the nutty ones referred to above....

John and Camille,

Nice to get to meet you so soon after the new boat acquisition. Nice to have faces with the names. And when somewhere down the line you get a name, check this thread for steps on getting the name onto the boat:

Only thing I might do different is to put the name forward of the running lights, but then the lettering will need to be will be smaller.

Enjoy, and see you again soon,
