Hole, filled with clear epoxy, where 2\" #12 screw went into either core or support for foreward deck--was damp, dryed, epoxied and screw reset with sealant. The joint between the cockpit floor and aft bulkhead is now sealed to prevent any further water intrusion.

annotated void in the core at the transom. This core in the bottom of the boat should be separated from the transom core by at least a layer of glass and should extend to the extreme end of the boat, so there is no voids, where water can trap. The solution is to fill this gap with solid glass.

annotatred photo of transom. Note the layers of gel coat, both green and white which were under the filler. The filler is the only item which crosses the entire transom, no glass in this layer, so it is susceptable to cracks.

Final prep shows void in non marine plywood. The top layer of glass was only about 1/8 to 3/16 " thick. No rot or moisture in the core--but note that the wood in the transom ends before the top of the transom, and at the left side of the photo, instead of being carried all of the way to the side of the transom. In other words the poorly laminated spash well molding is taking a lot of the load of the engine thrust, instead of the sides of the hull.
