    Water Pressure Pump

Hi Eddie, Ain't good dealers great? Carrie and Gene at Mobile East Marine, here in Eastern NC, did the same for me twice in our CD-25. The first time was definitely under warranty, the 2nd maybe thru Jabsco. I can't figure why C-Dory didn't use the marine rated pump in the first place. But...

    AED on Board?

Hi, This is a subject which I think I can speak upon with some experience. To see a good medical article on the subject of Sudden Cardiac Arrest, written by an MD, see http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/151907-overview <br> If you have a "heart condition" or family history, one of those...

    SE Cruising Info

Hi all, The link to Cruisingguide is a good one, but go back to the home page, http://www.cruisersnet.net/index.php to see the real jewels. Cruisersnet covers VA to FL, and Bahamas, has pages for up to date info contributions. Not real busy right now in the NC area, but the whole site is a...

    Is CDory too light??

Hi Paddy, I hope this isn't too "commercial" or out of line, but our 2008 C-Dory 25 is for sale. I have some pix at my own webpage, http://www.boatanchors.org/C-Dory25.htm It was on the C-Brats for sale listing, but has disappeared.<br> We've listed it with a broker, and you can see his...

    Foward grabrails...THATAWAY?

Hi Spike, We had forward grab handles installed on our boat before we took dely. IIRC they're bolted thru the "eyebrow" over the windshield, I just looked at interior pix & don't see any bolt heads up fwd. You can see them in the first pic in our "Knot-Home" album...

    09/26 - 09/28 - NC Gathering

Just thought folks might like to see the info on Town Dock home page this AM: "Friday September 26, 2008 8:50a The “almost a tropical storm” has passed and is now inland. It did drop .69 inches of rain overnight. This morning Oriental has closer to normal water levels (still a bit high) and...

    09/26 - 09/28 - NC Gathering

Hi again, The water has gone down several inches in Oriental since 10AM, and there's even a little blue sky showing on the "mobile cam" set up on Hodges street at the Town Dock. http://www.towndock.net/ if you click on "slide show" and select the last 3 hrs, you can see the progression...

    09/26 - 09/28 - NC Gathering

Hi Nick, Marcia, David, et al, I had email contact with Tracy last nite a few times re: your situation. We're located on the Neuse, about 8 mi. downstream from New Bern, and our boat is in Duck Creek Marina, across the river from downtown NB. Water was up there last nite, had hit a high...

    09/26 - 09/28 - NC Gathering

Hi folks, Gas doesn't seem to be a problem in New Bern, only ~30 mi. from Oriental. Didn't see any lines this AM, and regular price $387.9 - 3.88.9, about like it's been for a few days. Windy today on the Neuse, NNE, 20-30mph, higher gusts. The wind has brought the water up high here...

Hi Joe, It's a 30 ft Mainship Pilot II "Rum Runner" You can see some info on it at http://www.boatanchors.org/mainship.htm that I gathered as we were considering them late this Spring. We really like it, it's a 2004 model, but lived in a dry stack in FL until July, is in terrific condition...

    09/26 - 09/28 - NC Gathering

Hi Folks, I'll jump back to yesterday in Oriental. To catch up, Pat & I took our new boat (non-CD) down to spend the nite at the town dock, if there was any space (they have a "free" slip about 50 ft long that usually accommodates one boat on each side). Alma's Only, David, and Valkyrie...

Hi Tracy, Did you see a larger boat with Valkyrie & Alma's only? That's us, Al & Pat, of Knot Home, in "noname", our new boat, 30ft Mainship Pilot. We got here just after Valkyrie, at about 4PM, met the folks, we went separate ways for dinner I guess. All 3 of us plan to spend the nite...
