    Can I stay?

Hmm...my previous post got swallowed: According to the book Boatwatch (reasonably accurate for these classic plastic boats) the 27' Uniflite Cruiser circa 1969 (27'3"/9'7"/2'8": 5,300 lbs) was "a smaller version of a 36 fotter of the same time" and has the configuration Bob described. The hull...

    Can I stay?

I read it too - my gut feel is that it was "Northwest Yachting": http://nwyachting.com/ But I also had a subcription to Pacific Yachting (which I gave up) and it could have been there: http://www.pacificyachting.com/

    DESOLATION SOUND JUNE, 2011

I suggest you look into getting Nexus passes for you and your wife. I haven't had a chance to use mine for a marine entry yet, but it turns out as a "Trusted Traveller" I get to use the expedited lane at airports - very nice!

    Can I stay?

Well, it was built in Bellingham so at least it's from the right area! But I think it's actually a Uniflite 28.

    2005 22 Cruiser 27,500 (Hobe Sound, FL)

I also see trim tabs and an anchor windlass. And in one photo I see something on the stern quarter that looks like a swim platform. Suggest you post the engine hours (particular for the main) and an interior picture. Looks like a good deal for someone - good luck with the sale!

    Are C-Dorys still being produced?

I don't think that's the case - I think there are lots of old brochures out there with Fluid Marine on them. I know that Master Marine in Mount Vernon was still handing them out last fall. Fluid Marine's domain (in Google) redirects to www.c-dory.com but I can understand if someone ran across a...

    Are C-Dorys still being produced?

Yes, they're still being produced - you might want to refer to this thread "Is C-Dory still in busliness?" from last week: http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?t=15546

Advice requested re: 22 cruiser kicker controls

I'm not much of a fisherman, but I've had several setups (17' Arima with dual controls and tie bar, 22' Osprey I/O with cockpit steering and TR1 Gold, and now rogerbum's CD22 with dual BF40s) and here's my input: #1 - install cockpit steering - it's handy when fishing, crabbing, docking...

    Holding Wires Down

What you need is "gaffer tape": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaffer_tape Works great, no residue.

    New Custom Water Tank Received

Indeed - I'm trying to achieve a neutral lateral balance first, and then ideally keep the things that can change (fuel, water) as close to the centerline as possible. My use of the boat is a little different - we're not likely to overnight on it (except perhaps a trip to Lake Powell) - but I'd...

    New Custom Water Tank Received

Are you simply duplicating the stock tank (under the aft settee)? I just this weekend removed that tank to install (2) AGM batteries, and I'm going to want a replacment tank at some point, though I was thinking a bladder tank in the bow. I could see putting a smaller (e.g. 10 gallon) tank back...

    Marine helpful credit card

I am currently using their AGM batteries and automatic inflatable PFDs, both purchased via their "Captains Club" Visa promotions. I agree that there isn't much that they have that I want, but the do manage to make one or two items tempting each month.

    New iPad!

The Navionics maps are small - I don't imagine you'll likely get over 1GB for all your maps. I'm not sure about Google Earth imagery, but the files will be larger. Also, keep in mind that even if you have 3G, you're probably going to want to download as much of this as possible via WiFi (higher...

    New iPad!

FWIW, I'm using my iPad (WiFi) with "MyWi" on my jalbroken iPhone and it works just fine. I also did the greenpois0n jailbreak on my iPad so I could install multiflow and backgrounder. In particular, Navionics would turn off whenever I switched away which caused the BadElf GPS to turn off -...

    Navionics Gold "2XG" Chip

FWIW, for iPad the Navionics "USA and Canada" is $14.99 and the 2XG cartography for iPad iNavX is only $29.99: http://www.x-traverse.com/product/TD-NAV-2XG-IP So far I'm loving my refurb iPad gen 1 ($349 from Apple) with Bad-Elf GPS ($99), Navionics cartography ($29), and 1" RAM mount &...

    Mini Brochures just came in

I'm not clear on what the "Contact Info" on the C-Brat side is for - is the factory going to put something in that space? Are we (I asked for a batch) responsible for attaching / printing a business card in that area? The next time these are made, I'd suggest word-smithing the C-Brat side a...

    seaway 25 coastal cruiser

Looks like a very nice boat (from the pictures). I'm not thrilled by the exterior appearance of the aft-most side windows, but there are a lot of very nice touches in the interior. The Yachtworld brokerage boat has some great equipment, but I don't think much of the location of the microwave...

    When boats get too expensive

The biggest question is whether he should repower with a 9.9hp 4-stroke or whether a 6hp would work.
