We are headed out to Hannibal tonight. Will get early enough tomorrow to find Thataway and enjoy time on the river. Raining here (Nashville, IL) right now and rain in the forecast for tomorrow, but we are boaters and never let a little water get in our way. :lol:

Nancy and I have been pouring over all the photo albums here to get ideas on how we can make the boat more useful. C-Batical's photo album included this photo which looks like a pretty slick idea on how to have a stowable step in the cockpit. The generosity of C-Brats is simply amazing.

And I thought I was nuts to drive from Southern Illinois to Pender Harbour, BC to pick up a boat! :lol: Congrats. Have a great adventure and tell us about it when you get back.

That is another way of looking at the big picture. If 22's were as rare as hens teeth, I might settle. However, there a quite a few listed here and elsewhere so I'm going to find both the boat I want and a dual axle trailer under it. I bought a boat I wanted on a trailer that wasn't big...

Depending on what we see and find out during the Mississippi River gathering in two weeks, we may be there on our own C-Dory. Would be easy to pick up the boat while we are there, right?

I don't know the rating of the axle on the trailer in the picture. Having towed sailboats thousands of miles, all with dual axles, I'm pretty sure that our next boat will have dual axles as well. I've used pole tongue adapters on many trailers without any problems. I prefer EOH disc brakes.
