    Getting Fuel Tank Tested

UPDATE: Tank came out of the boat yesterday. After pressure washing the bottom of the tank many holes appeared -- the pressure washer was able to punch two 0.350" holes in the bottom of the tank. Meaning that thing was just about to let go if not already -- I was likely leaking fuel or at the...

    Getting Fuel Tank Tested

Update -- I pulled up the sole to pressure wash the area in prep for service/pressure test and found quite deep corrosion on the exterior aft vertical wall of the tank. About half way up the wall and maybe 10 inches port off the center line if anyone is keeping notes. I'd estimate the depth of...

30-second preventative maintenance: fuel filler cap screws

I have the exact same issue -- getting my fuel tank drained this weekend actually to hopefully retrieve the screw. I did a dabble of googling and it looks like Loctite 577 is the fuel resistant, medium strength thread sealer.

    Getting Fuel Tank Tested

Thanks Colby! That's about as complete a job as one could imagine. Also very similar to my config. I think now I will be compelled to pull the tank entirely and inspect the bottom given the age of the tank (20 years). - Looks like you were able to access the clamps for the vent/fill through...

    Getting Fuel Tank Tested

    Suzuki DF200ATX3 Fuel Economy

Thanks for the replies everyone. I’ll have to get back with prop info, etc. I do think I may not have had my trim correct.

    Suzuki DF200ATX3 Fuel Economy

We took our 25 Cruiser out for her first longer trip this weekend and noticed somewhat poor fuel consumption relative to the several posts from others. Acknowledging the caveats that loading, sea state, driving style, prop geometry, etc. all play significant roles in this figure the calculated...

Daydream SOLD - Welcome Adam Lucke

From the new owners of Daydream, we're humbled and excited to carry on her legacy. Thank you to Pat and Patty for the kindness and generosity they've shown -- Daydream is a great boat and we're so happy to have her. For now, we're busy getting Daydream ready for a summer of doing what she does...

    Rubber Strip along transom deteriorating

Hi Jared, I'd be quite interested if you end up removing the rubber to confirm the state of the fiberglassing underneath. I have a 2005 25 Cruiser with the same condition. Also, if you do remove, how that went. I imagine a heat gun and patience are the primary ingredients for success based...
