01/14/05-01/16/05 - Seattle Boat Show and C-Brat Convention

Roger,
Reading about all the people attending this gathering are making Sheryl and I feel sorry we can't be there to meet them, since we will be in Florida seeing our new Grandson. Bad timing! I know Jeff will show all the C-Brats a good time at the new factory. Have one of Pats good brews for me.

Making Progress!! Have sent my email registration and if no reply when I get home Monday I will follow up with the land line. Talked with wife Sherryl about making the trip... Well, she said that making a boat show with me and my interest of all the little in the weeds items of a boat would compair to her flying me across the nation to go shopping for a dress and making me look at everyone.... :cry :crook But on the positive side, my brother Mike and hopefully his wife Brenda (both looking forward to thier C-Dory Days) are going to be able to make it. We are looking at flying into SEATAC arriving Thurs evening so we will have the full days of Fri and Sat with the boat show and more importantly the C-Dory population. :D :D Combine that with the fact that Auburn just put the GA dogs back in the pen last night in Auburn, and life is good for the Byrdman !!! Only about 60 days away!! I am truly looking forward to this event. Thanks to all who are taking part in putting this together.

I tried early today to call Stanwood Travel Desk/Linda and conf my reservations. Just thought I would let everybody know that their hours are 1000 to 1700 Tuesday through Friday per their answering machine. I'll try again tomorrow.

OK, let's see if we got this straight...

Friday night, January 14, there will be some kind of doings at the hotel (is this firmed up at all?)...Everyone is going to the SBS on Saturday, January 15, and Saturday evening (time?) we are converging on the NEW C-Dory factory in Auburn for the CBC party.

Although we live fairly close, I am going to callt this a.m. to see if Patty and I can get a room at the hotel for Friday night only.

P.S. - Daydream is coming home from the factory today, new windlass installed and fiberglass booboos hopefully all repaired as good as new...

well,
it looks like several of you have contacted the Travel Desk. this is good
OK, I am wonderin what everyone want's to do for friday nite. Maybe order some pizza's and have a casual visit or something more organized.

I think it was Fred who suggested that we make the SBS / CBC a C-Dory swap meet / flea market? Anyway - our contribution, we will deliver to the C-Dory factory or hotel when we are in for the doin's - 300 feet of 5/8" (I think) rode and 20 feet of 1/2" chain - too big for our brand new windlass, so the old stuff is available - make offier!

After reading all the postings about the big boat show gathering how can I not sign up!

Roger thanks for setting this up, I'll call your friend and get a room reserved so count Marty and myself in on the fun.

Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Hi All,
My wife and I plan to attend the C-Brat shin-dig on Sat night. This will be my first C-Dory gathering since I got CAVU in July. We already had a trip to Seattle planned for that weekend to visit our son who lives on the wrong side of the state. We will be staying downtown close to the boat show but would like to participate in the Fri night gathering if one develops? Looking forward to putting a face on the many names I have seen on this site.

Hi All,

A Friday night (or Saturday) swap meet sounds cool to me since I still have a trailer moving dolly to get rid of. Shipped it to SeaShift Dave who didn't have any better luck than I did. Not good on a 22 cruiser but would or should be ok for a 16' or maybe even a light 19 footer.
If this is something that is going to happen then maybe one of our head nerds will make a spot to list things. If that happens I'll need to bring along some extra cash and hope it happens on Friday or at least before I go to the boat show and blow all my money. Swap meet prices should even be better than boat show prices.

Tim

Joel (SEA3PO) and I will be flying up for the boatshow weekend. Looking forward to meeting a bunch of "old" friends and putting some faces to the names.
Flights scheduled and room reserved. Will there be enough vehicles or should we rent a car?

I have signed up to attend the SBS in January and have made my reservation at the Hawthorn Suites. Two of us will be there, son Brian and myself. QUESTION: I remember C-Dory said they will make tickets available for the show. How do we take advantage of this?

I believe there will be enough vehicles here that a rental car might not be needed unless you don't like to be relying on others....lol....
