01/23 - 01/25 - Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Convention

Charlie,

We have quite a few Canada Geese in the SeaTac area these days. Just to be safe, see if you can get your airline to use one of these:

All kidding aside on the other thread about warmer days at Furnace Creek in Death Valley :hot, it's 29.8 degree right now in Seattle :tux, with the highs for Thursday through Saturday expected to be 43-45, and the lows 34-38, so be sure to bring some warm clothes, even though most of all our activities will be indoors.:wink

See ya' there!

Joe. :teeth :thup

Gettin' closer. Made it to the Richmond airport, on their free wifi with the Dell mini. :D Heading for Cincinatti next, changing for Seattle, due in around 7PM.

:) Jim is lucky I won't be attending this year...because I live in East Naples and he lives in North Naples. I wish
I could attend this year, for I would like a matching fish for my collection.

I am going to try and make this gathering on Friday. I am not sure I will be able to make it so I have hesitated signing up.

We are moving seven camels up from The Dalles Mountain Ranch to Yelm, WA Saturday morning for quarantine then shipment to Japan so I will not make Saturday’s event, but hope to see many of you Friday.

I will sign up Friday afternoon when I am sure I am going.

Man...do we have an SBS award for Best Excuse?

If so, that's going to be tough to beat.

Report from the Floor of the Exhibition Center:

The boats are in place, blocked and looking good. I think this may be the best looking C-Dory display ever, (yeah, I layed it out ;) ) and i think you'll all enjoy seeing the boats.

Lots of room to congregate, and room to look around all fours sides of almost all the boats.

We will be up to full speed (hopefully!) Friday, dressed in our finest boat show threads with pens and order sheets in hands. Today I am at the computer finishing price sheets and other forms, and there are show price posters at the printers. Tomorrow back to the space to finish vacuuming and setting up the motors in the KMI booth.

Look forward to seeing many of you there.

Jeez, I'm only coming from Kenmore - about 20-25 miles N of the factory. Do you think Roger will believe I got there by going N? My plan is to take the polar route so I can get the award. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Roger-

Are you going up over the North Pole and back down to Seattle, or over the North Pole, down the other side of the Earth, over the South Pole, and back to Seattlle?

The first would logically be the "Polar Route", and the second the "Bi-Polar Route", no?

Joe.

Made it! In the hotel, went to the "Fin and Bone" for dinner at the recommendation of the front desk, very good. Joe, we're in room 121, call us when you get in. I may go to the VIP nite tomorrow nite, have tickets from Ranger Tugs, our friend Jeff Messmer. Long trip but are settled in with a glass of red and all is right with the world.

See all tomorrow.

Charlie and Sally

Welcome to the other side, Charlie! Have a good rest. I should be up there sometime Saturday morning, so we'll see you then.

I even got the addresses for the three important spots entered into the car's GPS, just in case Brock has tired of hauling me around. Now we're gonna see just how smart that miniature woman inside the dashboard really is.

Charlie,
Glad you had a safe trip! I'll bet you and Sally are glad to be here in Washington so you could enjoy our warm balmy temperatures. :hot .
We'll be seeing you on Friday evening.

Charlie-

See you later this morning, sometime from 9-11, probably. Getting ready to leave for the Sacramento Airport right now.
