01/27 - 01/29 - Seattle boat show and C-Brat Gathering

Looking forward to seeing those of you we met in Bellingham last summer and meeting other C-brats. Please keep us posted on time/place for the Saturday potluck. Will it be at the Larkspur motel?

Craig & Julie: we're new C-Dory owners, too. A 19-ft Angler that we brought out from Flathead Lake, MT. Beautiful country out there. :)

This is our first boat, so I hope you seasoned C-brats don't mind some more newbie questions. Your guidance has been invaluable.

See you soon.

Ok. Folks, I've paid for the bus so we are all set there. We have a 36 passenger bus. They are looking for a 47 for us but the odds are extremely slim that we can carry more than 36 passengers. We have 38 people signed up right now, 18 couples and 2 singles. If you have decided to skip the bus and have not removed your name from the signup sheet or have not PM'd me Please let me know as soon as you can. I really don't want to end up 2 seats short on Friday the 27th.

Thanks very much.

Rooms for our group will be held until Jan 5th, then the space will be released to the general public.
As in the previous years, please have everyone book directly through my office and mail a $10.00 per room booking fee. Thanks, Roger. I look forward to being your "travel agent bookie" once again!

Oh man! That sounds almost perfect. The only thing missing is Snoqualmie Falls Root Beer.

Correct, our root beer is a soda, and pretty darned good, too, if I say so myself!

Yes it is VERY GOOD ROOT BEER. (Unfortunately, I've had to drink it instead of their most EXCELLENT beer, on the occasions when I've had to do the driving after visiting the pub). That is why I signed up for the BUS!

I'm not quite as much of a snob with my root beer as I am with my coffee, but pretty dang close.

For any other root beer aficionados out there - you'll have to search a long time to find another that stacks up to the beer guys' goods. My favorite root beer that is somewhat readily available is Henry Weinhard's - which is quite good. Still, it doesn't hold a candle to Snoqualmie's finest.

Stock up while you're there.

Pat - Please sign me up for the buffet. If there is room on the bus count me in. If not I'll drive. In a earlier post on this thread there was mention of a swap meet and dinner on Saturday evening. I'm bringing some stuff to generate money for the website maintenance. Is it OK to use the swap meet at that time for this? Some of you would like to know in advance the kind of stuff I have. Following is a list of some things.

Jervis Inlet & Desolation sound, Chart 3312, 29 pages, spiral bound.
Good condition. Captain's retails that for $105. Must we worth something.

Discovery Passage-Toba Inlet & Connecting channels, Chart 3594 laminated.

Canadian paper charts LC 3512 (2), LC 3463, LC 3513, LC 3462

Heavy Weather Guide, 2nd edition by Kotsch Z& Henderson 2nd Ed.

Weatherly Waypoint Guide, Vols. 1,2,3

Unused electrical stuff, bronze hardware, etc.

A number of books relating to Pacific Northwest, e.g. Charlie's Charts, fiberglass repairs, adventures.

Hi John
Looking forward to seeing you again at the gathering.
as to the stuff for sale, yes by all means, bring it . we can get the money to Tyboo or DaNag
there will be several vehicles driving over to the Brew Pub so getting there and back should not be a problem.

Pat, Thanks for the root beer clarification.

Dave, Glad you are riding the bus, I'll drink your share of the Root Beer and there will be enough for me too.

You Root Beer lovers are going to :love our RB.
I was just up to the brewery on Thursday and tasted our 14th Anniversary Brew. An Imperial Stout that is lushes :smilep Undertones of licorice, espresso, and dark chocolate. Stunning.

Looks like we have several new owners and some pre-owners in the area. hope we get to meet them in Seattle. It is worth the trip.
