Hey, Janet, great job on this gig. Yes, it is time consuming. Sometimes you might wonder why you hopped to the forefront here. But these folks won't forget, and you'll find they're long grateful for your efforts. Those are pennies in your piggy, kiddo, and interest accrues. The fish who are biting your bait are quality people who likely will be your trusted friends for years. Thank you!
Bambina probably won't leave her dry mew that weekend, but her human might. Winter '06 has brought a new and slightly embarrassing brand of softness to a middle-age Catguy. Like the Pillsbury Doughboy and his cousin The Michelin Man, an inquisitive poke to my amplified tummy inspires only an enthusiastic giggle. The three of us agree home is a warm haven; a place with heat, a bed, a head, other stuff, and a 17 pounder named Buster who luxuriates under my nurturing hand.
And I agree about Brownsville. Last year during Memorial Day weekend when a yacht club consumed every available dock morsel so that even my little feller and I went hungry that late afternoon, we scooted 7 miles south to welcome arms. Plenty of moorage, a store, showers, nice walking, and very quiet, too. But socially, commercially, Brownsville is the complete opposite of Poulsbo. No doubt, though, Poulsbo's super.
