03/26 - 03/28 - Jarrell's Cove

Jerrell's Cove, the weather gods will smile on us, the water will be calm and the barly pops cold. Can't wait, going to bring the kayaks and give the Cove a good looking over

Did someone say cheeseburgers? Just the thought brought me out of a deep catnap. I'll gladly pay you tomorrow for two burgers at Jarrell Cove Marina or State Park next month.
:cat

Just two? I'll bring the BBQer...what do you think of samon instead? I'd be game for grilling up salmon for the crew one night

Once again I'd like to leave from Des Moines. One of these South Sound trips the weather is going to cooperate like a corporate myrmidon. Got to, 'cause we're due. Gimme that soft, silky-smooth surface, curious water doggers, and flocks of birds dabbing blunted beaks into liquid gold.

I'm jazzed, we'll be due for good weather..yup....umhuh.
we'll probably launch from Zittles on Johnson point again.
Salmon it is....with a smelt appetizer

If we are going to arrive Friday afternoon / evening, we will more than likely launch at Joemma State Park on Key Peninsula...

The C-Lou two are going to try to make this trip. Cynthia is at a conference in Seattle on March 26th (Friday), so we're still working out a plan to make this happen.

And the rain, hah, the AQC is greatly improved so bring on the rain.
Jon

It's so improved I'm willing to give you our original AQC for free. Heck, I'll even give you $5 bucks to take it. Yeah, we got the new lid put on at King Marine and it came out really nice. Dave at King Marine is a great guy and his workers do top notch work.

Hey Jon, I was at King Marine canvas and noticed a CD in the shop but I didn't recognize the boat and then last Wednesday or so, I saw you with boat in tow, getting on I-5 from Mercer Street. I honked, but you didn't notice. You'll have to post a picture of your new addition. Are you planning to go fishing next weekend?

Tim

Hi Tim, yep that was us last Thursday picking up C-Lou at King Marine. I would like to post some pictures but everytime we try something goes way wrong :disgust .
I'll probably go out next weekend to the winter hole and try to jig up some fish. The earlier opener in November wasn't very good at all, but I hope that's going to change. Well, breaks over, outside I go to drill more holes in the boat. :smileo
Jon

Jon, I had heard the Blackmouth fishing was tough out your way last fall.
We'll give you a cursory wave in PA on our way through to Sekiu THIS COMING Friday. Hoping we get some reasonable weather. If you happen to change your mind and go west, we'll be on the radio or in our camper. Tim

All,
I would like to join you at Jerrell's Cove this March. This will be my first gathering with the C-Brats and I've been looking forward to the opportunity to meet you all. Planning on coming around from Bremerton (Brownsville) on Friday afternoon if all goes well; may stop for the night at Tides Tavern in Gig Harbor if all goes even better. I'll watch this link to ensure I don't get left behind.

Doug

This rendezvous promises good cruising among small, closely grouped South Sound islands. Jarrell Cove is a delightful, secluded bay with fun stuff to do.

But please, Brats, I can't always be counted on to bring pleasant weather. Therefore, I ask that everyone include proper clothing so as to lessen the chances of dreaded wardrobe malfunction.

can't be havin no wardrobe malfunctions :)
This is shaping up to be a right proper floatilla.
If the weather is decent, I'm going to haul from J. Cove on over to the Snake for a few days. Anybody feel like limbering up their trailers?
