07/15 - 07/17 Blakely Island

Our plan as of now is to leave Twin Bridges by early afternoon on Friday. Looks like the weather is shaping up to be great again for this gathering.

We are planning to leave Twin Bridges between 11 and 12 on Friday. Sure hope that forecast holds true. Looking forward to seeing everyone for a great weekend.

Lynn and I should depart from Twin Bridges sometime in the mid-afternoon on Friday --- that is if we don't get held up too long with the repaving project. Looks like we'll have a great weekend!

I just know that I'm going to forget to take something... Oh well, most of the important things are attached. :P

We from the "right coast' wish the Blakely Island gathering good weather, good times, and good food and drink...and hope you break our record of 31 boats! It'll give us something to shoot for next June!

The Crazy Frazeys are coming!!! John and Amy are looking forward to seeing you all again! We are departing Friday morning around 8:30-9:00. My sister and her boyfriend are joining us on the trip as well.

If we can help anyone please feel free to call us on channel 16 or cell at 503-720-4090. Safe Travels and see you soon.

Rock-C is at the factory getting a camper back put on by King. We plan to pick it up on the way to Twin Bridges and hope to launch as early as possable on Friday. This is the start of two weeks vacation. The first week will be around the San Juans then we are heading up the Gulf Islands to Princess Louies inlet.
I have a question for those that have been there. What are some of the places that are a must see in the Gulf Is. ? (Things to do, places to go)
See ya all Friday :smiled

Our Gulf Island "must sees" are Sidney Spit (Sidney Island); Reef Cove (Cabbage/Tumbo Island); Ganges (Saltspring Island); Montague Harbor (Galiano Island) and the Hummingbird Pub; Conover Cove (Wallace Island); and Pirate's Cove (De Courcy Island).

Tyboo, Larry, Deb, I was going crabbing Thursday and then to Doe Island Thursday night. Does anyone want to do an evening cruise and meet me at the dock? It is only about 25 miles from Cornet Bay. Not far for your boats. Maybe if I have some time I just might head back to Cornet Bay.
Byrdman, if you want to do some crabbing Thursday let me know.

Fred

Fred, Don has to work on Thursday so we won't be leaving until about 3 or 4. The best we can do is make it to the state park at Coronet Bay that night Good luck with the crabbing. We will see you at Blakely if not before.

Got back from Hilton Head. Wedding and TomCat went great.. I'll post some pics to my folder later today. Ruff ride/tow home back into Montgomery due to the hurricane winds, but minimal trash and stuff, no real damage, and was glad I had a sturdy tow vehicle and a heavy boat. Putting boat back in water today or early tomorrow, find some nice fresh tomatoes, heading to Nashville Wed to pick up BBQ, to SEATAC Thur arriving @ 1:25pm on SW Flt# 605 from Phoenix, possible plant visit to see TC255, then heading to Roger & Lizbeths' Thur late afternoon, then to Deception Pass Marina on Friday morning. Thanks to all for the emails.

Pat Anderson: Keep me posted on the response from the marina and looking forward to seeing yall there.

We really wanted to make this cruise, made reservations, had a slip assignment, everything was in place. Then my wife had to have emergency shoulder surgery, all went well but (no cruising for us for the next three months).

Have a great time and post lots of pictures!

Fred,

Our plans have changed. :D We will be putting in at Cap Sante early Thursday Morning. We are bringing our Crabbing gear along also. We plan to crab all Thursday and perhaps stay the night at my bosses place on Lopez Thursday night. Wouldn't mind hooking up with you if it works out. :wink See you all soon. Looks like the weather is going to be :hot :hot :hot :thup

Yeah, right now it is cold and rainy here...could be January or July in Washington! But the TV weather guesser had Saturday at 81!

Saturday cruise (for those that don't go off by themselves fishing/crabbing/whatever)? I vote for the old stand-by, whale watching off the west side of San Juan (or wherever the Orca watch says the critters will be), I now have a camera capable of taking pictures of whales, not just holes in the water...other thoughts?

The TyBoo and crew cannot make Blakely this time around, and we are not happy about it. Not happy at all.

Tyboo crew, So sorry to hear that you can not make the gathering. Bummer. :cry I will miss you, and I wish you all the best. Robbi

Patty here. Oh, pooh!!! No Tyboo. No Catman. Haven't seen Sea Shift in a year!!! Of course there are many others to fill the void and I'm pumped. I hope it's just a little snag and nothing major, Mike. Will miss you all terribly.

that's a bummer Mike, and to make it worse, the ocean is supposed to be a lumpy bugger...ya could motor over to Ilwaco and play cards........poor substitute
