1983 clasic angler

Not only was it a good boat. it still is a good boat. Sensei is a 83 and the only major problem has been the transom needed to be redone.
I like it more than my 25 that we acquired last year.

it is my work boat....lol..... fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and clam digging boat.

Sensei, so the early 16 anglers had "alaska backs" or solid cabin backs on them? Or was that your add on? Very cool! Before picking up the 22, I was thinking of extending the cabin on my 91 16 angler and building a solid back.

My 1983 Classic Angler (hull no. 155) was a perfect boat for me for 26 yrs. here in Alaska. Mine has had no problems (no transom rot).
I ran the boat approx. 8000 miles around the Cook Inlet over that time and never once was afraid of the boat. It handled the seas way better than I did in snotty weather. It wore out one engine and is working on the 2nd as well as a 2nd trailer but the hull has been bullet proof so far.
Now my son owns it and makes long runs out of Whittier, Alaska on fishing and exploration trips.
