2004 Seattle Boat Show and C-Brat Convention

Hi, Just joined your new site. When I first got our boat we joined the old site in 2002 and really enjoyed it. This too looks fun and we, my wife Faye and I look forward to meeting you all. Of course we do know Catman and Dave S from past gatherings, but we have been pretty silent for a while.
Looking over the " Convention" at the Seattle Boat Show posts, I don't see any recent ones. You guys still meeting at the show?
Anyway, til we got the Poco Loco in 2002 we hadn't really been into boating , but now we have about 150 hours on her. We had it moored at the Stimson Marina here in Ballard for quite a while and used it more often, but I put it up on the trailer for the winter and haven't gotten her wet since. guess I better go back to moorage. :smile
I see those neat Emoticons ( smilies)on the left of this page. How do I use them? I'm a little dumb about that. Tried to drag one over , but it didn't go. Guess I'm not much of a techie. :smile Whoa, I did it, I am a techie.

Yep, the SBS on Saturday is still a go for most of us. The CBC is Saturday night at the Hilton, which is right across the parking lot from the Larkspur hotel where a lot of us are staying. Go back to page one of this topic and you'll find the info for the C-Brat Special at the Larkspur, as well as a link to their web site with location directions.
Any other questions I can answer this evening for you if they ever let me off work.

Is anyone interested in going to the Show on Friday. we are thinking about doing the show friday and then the CBC on Sat. evening.
We will probably be there at noon when the show opens and spend the day.

I can't stay away - see you guys there. I'll be arriving at SeaTac Friday morning about 9:40, driving up to EQ to see Les and Da New Da Nag, and driving back to the Larkspur to stay Friday/Saturday nights and attend all the festivities.
Never did see anything official materialize for Friday night - did I miss it? If not, anyone up for dinner somewhere?

Way to go Bill! I figure one more day and awake up, then it's off to the show. I just got back some pictures of the old DaNag along side the Lynn Marie in our driveway so I'll bring along the second set for you. Also bringing up some of the stuff I used for my Barber Chair set up that I was going to try to get to Les so he can see how my project is progressing. It seems to be working out even better than I expected and it isn't taking any fancy hardware or other stuff so you might let him know when you go by to see him. My junk includes a couple of photos, a detail drawing, and chunks of the poly T-bar slide and wood rail track it slides in.
We'll expect a complete update on the DaNag over beer and pizza or something on Friday night. Haven't seen anything formal for Friday yet but a bunch of folks should be around so somethings bound to happen. Maybe the Catman will lead his people out of the Renton desert into an appropriate water hole.

Glad to hear you're going to make. Somehow it wouldn't seem quite right if you didn't make it. Besides, you just have to review the progress on the new Da Nag. Shucks, this is a no-brainer.

I just want to say this about that. This CBC deal is something else. There were 35 people at the affair last year, and for this year there are more than that signed up, and several not on the list who I am sure will be there. It is really quite amazing. Where else but in this Pub could we round up such a crowd of people who want to go somewhere without their boats and attend a meeting without an agenda? There is nothing to do at this meeting. No chairman, no recording secretary, no mission statement, and no presentations. Yet everyone who attends will leave there with a great feeling about the experience. What a wonderful group to be associated with.

We are not staying at the Larkspur (driving in to the SBS tomorrow), but will be in the general vicinity this evening (dropping kid off in Renton for bowling). We'd love to join folks for pizza and beer if it is decided where folks are headed and we can get there...can somebody give us a call when you know where you all are going to land? I plan to hit the road around 5:00 am and head straight to the Larkspur. There I'm going to meet up with a couple of other CBers and head on out to the SBS.

Well, we are not staying there, but went in last evening and met up with the folks staying there, and we all went out for pizza and beer at Round Table, a very pleasant start!
