Note: Mother’s Day is May 10 this year!

The annual Friday Harbor C-Brats Get-Together, San Juan Island, Washington is on! The Harbormaster has confirmed the inside of H-Dock and part of G-Dock for the C-Brats. Last year we had 44 boats. We look forward to seeing a large group again this year.

The C-Brats Administrators will soon post an ad / link on the main C-Brats page that will bring you straight to this thread. They will also post at the top of this thread an RSVP that will allow you to indicate that you are coming. Please note that we would like a little more information in the “comment” box on the registration screen. (Details below.)

To RSVP for this event:

(1) Click the “Register” button in the bottom right of the RSVP box (at the top of thread).

(2) If more than 1 guest, press plus to increase count.

(3) Please add the following info into the comment section. (This info helps the planners.)
  • Vessel Name
  • Model & Length
  • Captain / Co-Captain Name(s)
  • Additional Passenger Name(s) (optional)
  • Safety Inspection: Yes / No
  • T-Shirt Size(s)
FAQ:
  • Are Reservations required?
No, but a reservation can ensure a more favored H dock slip.
  • How do I Reserve a Slip?
Use the Port of Friday Harbor website on or after Feb. 1, 2026.
  • How do I get a moorage discount?
We should have the discount code by February 1. We will message it to all registrants. This should be good for 4 nights: Wed – Sat or Thur – Sun.
  • What if I don’t have a reservation?
This is fine. Upon arrival, do NOT grab an open slip. First call the Harbormaster at (360) 378-2688 or on VHF Channel: 66a. They will assign you an available slip.
  • When is the Coast Guard Safety Inspection?
Starts Saturday at 9 am. Please notify event coordinators.
Activities for the gathering:
  • Lots of Visiting, Sharing, and Story Swapping – Thursday PM thru Sunday AM
  • Dinner Out with Other C-Brats – Friday PM – Meet at 4:30 at H1.
  • Vessel Inspection – Saturday, starting at 9 AM, courtesy of Friday Harbor Coast Guard Auxiliary
  • Book Exchange – Saturday, 2 PM, Party Barge – We all have books collecting dust at home, so let’s swap and get some new dreaming material.
  • Travel Planning – Saturday, 2 PM Party Barge – Whether heading north or hanging out in the San Juans after the gathering, this is the place to connect.
  • Potluck –Saturday, 5 PM, Party Barge – bring your own plates, utensils & favorite food
  • Boat Christenings – After the Potluck – upon request
  • Other activities? – We are open to suggestions/volunteers
We look forward to seeing everyone May 14-17 in Friday Harbor!

Thank you for setting this up again, Gary and Colleen! We had a great time last year, and we are looking forward to attending again this year!

If anyone is interested in doing the boat christening, we highly recommend it! Great fun!

I had every intention of making the gathering this year, but as of now, looks like I'll be cruising with two of my cruising buddies between Anacortes and farther north, possibly Prince Rupert. Planning to be on the water from late April until end of June, so you may see us if you are on the water early for the gathering, or head north afterwards. Colby

Have fun Colby! You will be missed, but it sounds like you will be having a great time as well. Safe travels!

We will be there as always. I am willing to give a ling cod fishing class if any one has interest. Could do a hour with maps and gear and tide charts if we get 5 or more who are interested.. just a thought.
