C-Dory Sightings

Capt jack, Hi I did not that was you. I was trying to get back in the main channel but that bayliner was crowding me a little. I still had 6 ft under me the whole way. Nice locating by the way.

Hi Thomas,
You still had 1 1/2 hrs. before the full low at 4:30. The bar is about 5 houses down from me and a small sail boat was stuck there for a couple of hours after you went by. :embarrased The real excitement was a 100' barge a few years ago. :smilep Honk next time you're by. There's beer in the fridge and the coffee is always on. :smiled Jack

Yes, and so did I. Casey is delivering Naknek to her new owners in Gig Harbor. What a great guy.
Look forward to meeting the new owners.

Hi Peter
Thanks for asking about me. I'm still lurking!
I don't think I fished at all last year. Rebecca and I had a three week trip in Provence in September to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and vacation days were at a premium. This year, at least I've got two days scheduled out of LaPush, with my brother-in-law and nephew from San Diego and my wife's 80-year-old uncle from Buffalo. We didn't exactly pick a good year for the big family salmon outing, did we! Might have to go bottom fishing instead.
Now I'm just trying to get a good coat of wax on Cheeto so I can put her back in the water for our season of weekend cruising. But it's been hard to find the time for that chore since I started playing with the Gig Harbor community orchestra and the Bremerton Symphony. Their seasons just finished. I love it, but next year I need to plan to do a little less somehow.
This Saturday I'm supervising a volunteer work day at Bandix dog park in Olalla, but after that, the decks should be clear for awhile. Eagle Island, here we come!

Just got a phone call from my twin sister who is driving on I-95 northbound into Delaware. She saw Odd-a-C traveling southbound. I think that would be Syd and Margo on their way to the Chesapeake gathering this weekend. Roz was excited, as she was at the 1st CBCBG.
Hope all of you right coasters have a great time. :hot :rainbow

Humm, trying to remember what is on the T-shirts. Chesepeake Bay C-Brat (or C-Dory) Gathering??? CBCBG???? Can't find my shirt right now. Robbi

Passed Pandy Girl heading north in I-95 this afternoon. I was heading south.

Made me think of the gathering at the Chesapeake. Won't make it this year, I was on my way to Oriental, NC for 2 or 3 weeks of R&R when I passed Pandy Girl.

Seeing Pandy Girl DID make me smile though! :)

Saw a Tom-Cat enter Shelter Bay while I was having dinner Friday evening. I thought it was someone in transit going to spend the night, but they left a short time later, before I had a chance to say high. Too far away to read a name :sad Oh well, Next time. :smiled Jack

Not sure if this counts but...

I went to Mobile East Marine yesterday to BS with Gene a bit. Saw Hunky Dory sitting there.

Kind of smiled when I saw it, made me think of the C-Brats! :D:D:D

:sad Seems to be an awful lot of people out there that can't be bothered with putting a name on their C-Dory. :embarrased It should be in BIG LETTERS...If nothing else it keeps the lock master from hollering,"HEY YOU,IN THE *color* BOAT" :wink ... :smiled Jack

Bill and Jan, owners of a 22 CD named QT arrived today in Bellingham. They trailered QT from St. Augustine, Florida and launched in Squalicum Harbor. They'll be cruising around the San Juan Islands for a few days.

Trailered from Florida for a "FEW DAYS" in the San Juans??? The San Juans are one of my favorite cruising areas, but I think I'd spend more than a few days if trailering that far.

Yep, only a few days in the San Juans at this time. Bill and Jan were Washington residents (and had a sailboat) prior to their move to Florida. They'll be launching again (at Blaine) within the month with a plan on cruising to Canada. Oh, BTW Jim, we did have a discussion about the 'sun' and Bill mentioned 'sunbreaks'...made us think of you..... :smiled

Will be headed out of Seattle, 6-20, around the outside of Vancouver Island and the Queen Charlettes to Skagaway, then back down the inside passage on "Rapsody of the Seas", (Norwegian Cruise Lines), all the while looking for C-Dorys. Don't be shy if the SleepyC-1 comes over the VHF on 68, just saying "Howdy"
