C-Dory Sightings

while doing some electrical work on my Angler 16 at my slip in Maple Bay on Aug.21 I exchanged greetings with a young woman heading over to cruise around Salt Spring Island on "Zenta", a 16 Cruiser.Had a little dog with her. I said nice Dory and she replied "don't you just love these little boats? Yea, I do.

While we were on our Kyuquot Sound/Broughtons trip we saw 5 other C-dorys!

3 on our way up the Island: Capital Sea, Raincoast and Anonymous
Sea Harmony was in Telegraph Cove (lives there)
Wolfpack near Echo Bay - looks like it lives there too.

Looking forward to seeing a bunch at the Sidney gathering in two weeks!

While walking our 3 dogs along the Cape Fear River in Southport NC we saw not one, but two C Dories heading up the river. The only one usually seen is ours! So excited to see two, apparently traveling together.

Saw "Squirt 11" a 25' (charter boat) today doing donuts in Comox Bay towing a wake boarder. The towing line was tied to the radar arch.

Martin.

Went fishing out of everett today. I saw Seastar, 2 16's, 2 more 22's, a 14 and 1 25" all out fishing. Could not get close enough for name or they had no names.

We got Two nice coho and had a great time. And I know someone in a 22, Joe Hung, got three limits. Nice going.

There was a story about house boats in marinas in Olympia on the news tonight. (Something about that they will have to leave.) Right at the beginning there is a very short eclipse of a C-Dory in the background. Looked like a 22. Dark blue. Only say the flash.

It would be in a marina in the Olympia area.

Waved to a red accent 16 on the south end of Mercer Island WA on Friday. A WDFW (game warden) came alongside us in a Grady White for a license check. We were in compliance. Caught 2 trout

"Salty" just took a slip at Mangrove Marina in Tavernier Key, Florida.
There was a nice article about this boat back in January having completed The Loop in just a few months.

Saw a blue/white CD 22 entering Heriot Bay, Quadra Island, BC April 7, 2014. The name on the stern was a bit hard to make out from a distance. Looked like "Caipalainha".
